When to use "Last Value"
When you are charting metrics that have a balance and then aggregate them to another time period (e.g. quarterly) you will want to use the Last Value of the period. Balance metrics might be:

Cash on Hand
-
Total Customers
-
Monthly Active Users
-
Total Customers
e.g. Cash on Hand monthly might look like:
- December - $1,000,000
- November - $1,000,000
- October - $1,000,000
If you were to chart this Quarterly, you would want it to display as $1,000,000, not $3,000,000. To accomplish this, when you are editing a chart or table, select down on the metric and select "Last Value" under the aggregation option:
