Each user role controls what that person can see and edit. Here's a breakdown of each permission type:
Admin
Admins have full access to the account. They can access and edit data, requests, contacts, dashboards, Updates, decks, fundraising pipelines, data rooms, and company settings.
Admin is the only Role with access to company settings, which includes billing. If your teammate needs to view or manage your subscription, they'll need to be an Admin.
Editor
Editors can access and edit data, contacts, dashboards, Updates, decks, fundraising pipelines, and data rooms. They don't have access to company settings or received requests, so they won't be able to view billing details or manage your subscription.
This is a good fit for teammates who need to work in the account day to day but don't need visibility into billing or account-level settings.
View-only
View-only teammates can view Updates, decks, fundraising pipelines, metrics, and data rooms, but can't make edits anywhere in the account. This Role works well for teammates or advisors who just need visibility into your progress.
A note on billing
Billing lives under company settings, and only Admins can access company settings. If you want to give a teammate the ability to view invoices or update payment details, you'll need to make them an Admin.
How to assign a Role
When you invite a new teammate, select their Role from the invite screen before sending the invite. You can also update a teammate's Role at any time from your team settings if their responsibilities change.
