Visible's Google Sheet add-on makes it easy to export your account data directly to a spreadsheet.
Step One: Add the Visible extension to Google Sheets.
Click Extensions from the Google Sheet tool bar and then select Add-ons. Next choose Get Add-ons and search for the Visible for Investors add. Then grant the appropriate permissions.
Step Two: Authorize the extension and login to your Visible account.
Open the Visible sidebar in Google Sheets and connect your account the first time you use it. Once connected, the add-on remembers your login for that spreadsheet, so you will not need to reconnect every time you build a new query.
Step Three: Create a query
In the sidebar, choose to create a new query and give it a name you will recognize later. Pick whether you want to pull metrics (like revenue or burn) or properties (like a company's stage or sector), then select the companies and, if you chose metrics, a date range. Your query is saved so you can reuse it without setting it up again.
Step Four: Insert the data into your sheet
Choose where you want the data to appear, then insert it either as a live formula that can be refreshed later, or as static values if you just want a one-time snapshot. Live results come back as a simple table with columns for company, metric, date, and value.
Step Five: Refresh your data
You can refresh a saved query at any time from the sidebar, and the data in your sheet will update in place.
Step Six: Manage your saved queries
All of your saved queries are listed in the sidebar. From that list you can run a query again, edit its settings, copy the formula, or delete it if you no longer need it.
