How to attach Files to a Request in the AI Inbox

This features is designed for investors to include a file in a Request that that a portfolio company should download, complete the data and then re-upload it when submitting the request.

When sending a request to your portfolio companies, you can now include a file attachment directly in the request. This makes it easy for companies to download a template, form, or reference document, fill it out, and re-upload it as part of their response.

Step One: Navigate to an existing Request or create a new Request. Then select Content, choose +New block & click File.


Once inside a Request, go to the Content section. Next, click + New block and choose File.

Step Two: Toggle on Include reference files. Then click Select files and add the file you want the companies to fill out and click Save.


Enable the toggle to Include reference files. Then, upload the file to the Request and click Save.

Step Three: In the Preview, you can see what the portfolio company will see in the Request.


Once the request is sent, recipients will see the attached file and can download it directly from their response view.

How recipients interact with the attachment

When a portfolio company receives a request with an attached file, they will see a download option alongside the request. They can:

  • Download the file

  • Complete or populate it with the requested information

  • Re-upload the completed file as part of their response

This creates a clear, structured workflow for collecting source data and metrics through the AI Inbox.
