Tear Sheets are a great way to summarize and report on individual company performance. Visible makes it easy for you to build multiple Tear Sheets (also known as One-Pagers) at once.

Step One: Navigate to a portfolio company and select Dashboards on the navigation bar.

Choose the company you wish to create a tear sheet for and then select Dashboards in the inner pane on the left side of your screen.

Step Two: Click +New dashboard. Then choose Tear Sheet. Name the dashboard and press Create.

Click +New Dashboard in the top right of your screen. Then choose Tear Sheet and name the dashboard. Then click Create.

Step Three: Choose +Add New to add widgets to your Tear Sheet

Click +Add New to add Charts, Tables, Properties, Text, Variance reports, Headings or investments to your Tear sheet.

Step Four: Edit the layout to design your Tear sheet

When building the components of your Tear Sheet, you'll have the option to customize the layout of the Tear sheet. Use the line with arrows symbols located in the bottom left corner to adjust the size. You'll also be able to choose between the following block content types:

  • Charts - Visualize any of your companies' metric data.

  • Tables - Merge and organize any of your companies' metric data.

  • Properties - Merge in any static property fields saved to your companies' profiles.

  • Text Block - Enter and format any text you choose.

    • Tip: You can hyperlink to websites or dashboards

  • Variance Reports - Calculate how your actual performance compares to a budget or forecast.

  • Headings - A title at the head of section.

  • Investments - Enter in fund level data inside Visible.

Note: Any content, regardless of type, that is added to a Tear Sheet template will be duplicated across all company Tear Sheets. Navigate to the company-specific Tear Sheet to edit the content for a given template.

Step Five: Create a template to duplicate the Tear sheet layout for other companies in your portfolio

Select Save as Template to duplicate the Tear sheet format for all of your Portfolio companies.

Step Six: Use the inside navigation bar to move between company Tear sheets

Note that after you've created your template, you can navigate to company-specific Tear Sheets and edit them individually (making changes to a company-specific Tear Sheet will not impact other company Tear Sheets).
