Investors want to quickly conduct cross-portfolio analysis of company KPIs and Scatterplot Charts create an easy way to visualize this information at a glance. Below are the steps to creating a Scatterplot Chart to view portfolio wide metrics and quickly identify potential outliers in your portfolio.

Step One: Create a Portfolio Report that includes the data you wish to visualize in a Scatterplot Chart.

Click Portfolio reports on the left side navigation menu and add the metrics you want to visualize in a Scatterplot chart.

Step Two: Click + Add chart to open the Scatterplot chart builder.

Click + Add chart in the upper right hand side of your screen to open the chart builder.

Step Three: Name your chart and then add the metrics you want to visualize to the X-axis and Y-axis. You can also add a Bubble column to add a proportional metric to your chart.

Using the chart builder, title the chart by giving it a name. Then add the metrics you want to visualize to the X-axis and Y-axis. Optionally you can choose a Bubble column metric (illustrated in the last image of this article) and change the color theme to add additional color to your chart.

Step Four: Use the Scatterplot chart to visualize your data.

You can now visualize this data in a Scatterplot chart to conduct analysis of KPI's and easily identify any potential outliers across your portfolio.

Optional Step Five: Click the pencil icon to make any edits to your chart.

To edit the chart select the pencil icon as shown above.

Optional Step Six: If you've chosen to create a Bubble chart to visualize your portfolio company performance, it will look similar to the below image.

Use the Bubble chart view to visualize performance across your portfolio companies with proportional bubble sizes to the chosen Bubble column metric.
