Limited portfolio company permissions allow you to scope an Editor or Viewer's access to specific portfolio companies. This is useful when you need to share selective information with interns, analysts, auditors, or advisors without exposing your full portfolio or fund-level data.
Step One: Navigate to Settings and click the Users tab. Then select Edit next to the specific user.
Open your Settings and find the user whose access you'd like to restrict.
Step Two: Under the user's role, select the toggle to Restrict access to specific companies. Then click + Add companies.
By default, users have access to all portfolio companies. Click the toggle to Restrict access to specific companies. Then select + Add companies.
Step Three: Use the company picker to select which portfolio companies this user should have access to. Then click Apply.
Select one or more companies from the company selector. Only the companies you choose will be visible to this user.
Step Four: Click Update to save the new company-specific permissions.
Select Update to save the users access to specific companies.
Step Five: The user's access is now limited to the selected companies.
Users with limited access can only see the Companies section of the sidebar. They will not have access to fund-level data or any portfolio companies outside their permitted list. They can still favorite companies and company dashboards.
