How to pre-fill Request responses with existing data

Streamlining your portfolio companies' reporting

As an investor, you may send a structured data Request to a portfolio company and already have some data points. This could result from adding the data to your Investor account by forwarding an email update to the AI Inbox or manually entering a data point you heard during a one-off check-in call.

Whatever the reason, choosing to pre-fill data in the company's request with data from your Investor account is a great way to streamline the request process for the company.

To pre-fill request responses, navigate to the content section of the respective request.

Next, click the toggle next to pre-fill metric answers if existing.

Companies will see data pre-filled in the request when they access it in a Visible for Companies account. Companies must complete the request in a Visible account to have data pre-fill the request. From here, the company can override the data or leave it unchanged.

If your portfolio company doesn't have access to a Visible for Companies account, you can invite them from your investor account or they go directly to Visible.vc to sign up.
