There are two types of Tables that users can add to their Investor Updates and Data Rooms inside Visible: Metrics Tables and Freeform Tables. This article below walks through the different table types and how to add them to an Investor update. The process outlined in this article is the same to add table to a page inside of a data room.
See screenshots below for a step by step process:
Step One: Click Investor Updates from the navigation menu. Then, select the existing update that you want to add a table to or select + New Update to start from scratch.
Open the update you wish to add a table to.
Step Two: Click the + button to open the content menu or use the / shortcut.
Click the + or type / to open the content menu.
Step Three: Choose the type of table you want to add: Freeform Table or Metric Table.
Select the table type to add to your investor update.
Metrics Tables
Step One: Metrics tables will open up a side module to add the metrics you want to bring into the table. Select the desired metrics.
Under the Metrics tab, select the specific metrics your want to add to the Metric table.
Step Two: Under the Options tab, choose the name for your Table, the type of table, time period and if you'd like to add styling changes. Then, click Save.
Customize the name, type, time period and styling of your table.
Step Three: The Metric table is now live in your Investor Update.
The table can now be read directly in your Investor Update.
Freeform Tables
Step One: Freeform tables will automatically create a 3x3 table that allows users to customize the content inside the table.
The Freeform table creates an editable table where you can add custom content.
Step Two: Use the tool bar to add or remove rows and columns as needed.
Add or remove rows and columns to your Freeform table by using the tool bar.
The Metrics Tables and Freeform Tables features are also available to be added to pages inside a data room.
