How to create a Data Room

Creating a comprehensive data room for investors is crucial for startups aiming to secure funding efficiently. A well-organized data room streamlines the fundraising process and impresses potential investors by providing easy access to essential documents and financial metrics.

To create a Data room, you will want to open Visible and click Data rooms along the left side of your screen. From here, click + New data room in the top right. Name your data room and click Create. From here, you will be able to write out a cover letter and add filed and folders within your data room.

Step One: Click Data Rooms and then choose + New Data Room.


Click Data rooms along the left side of your screen and then choose + New Data Room in the top right of your screen.


Step Two: Name your Data Room. Then choose to create a Blank data room or choose to use a Data room template. Then click Create.


Choose a name for your data room. Then choose to add either a Blank data room or utilize a Data Room template. Then click Create.


Step Three: Share your Data Room.

To share your data room, click Sharing at the bottom left of your screen.


Step Four: Choose how to share your data room.


To share your data room, you can either send it to contacts you've created in Visible or share the Data room via a link. If you choose to send the Data room via Visible Contacts, as shown above, you are able to control which parts of the data room the contacts view.

If you choose to share the Data room via a link, you can toggle on whether to require viewers to provide their email address, include a password or restrict the access to specific email domains-- as shown above.
