How to use the Founder AI Inbox to capture investor emails

The Founder AI Inbox gives you a dedicated email address that automatically captures investor conversations, maps them to the right contacts, and generates editable AI summaries you can save as notes.

The AI Inbox feature transforms how founders capture and act on investor communications. There are four key capabilities:

  • A dedicated inbox email address you can use in to, cc, or bcc to capture any email

  • Automatic mapping of inbox items to existing contacts based on email addresses

  • AI-generated summaries of every email, which you can edit or customize

  • One-click saving of summaries as notes linked to contacts and investors

Capturing emails in your inbox

Step One: Find your unique inbox email address in your Inbox settings.

Navigate to the AI Inbox from the main navigation. Your unique email address is displayed at the top of the settings panel. Copy this address and save it to your contacts so it's easy to reach when you need it.

If you previously used Visible's BCC feature, your existing BCC address is now your AI Inbox address. No action is needed, and your historical emails have been migrated as inbox items linked to the appropriate contacts.

Step Two: Forward, bcc, or cc your inbox address on any investor email.

When you send or receive an investor email, add your inbox address to the to, cc, or bcc field. The email will be captured automatically and appear in your global Inbox view within a few moments.

This works for outbound emails you're sending to investors, replies to investor outreach, and forwarded threads from past conversations.

Mapping emails to contacts

Step Three: Inbox items are auto-mapped to existing contacts.


If any email address in the to or cc field matches a contact already in your Visible account, the inbox item is automatically mapped to that contact. You'll see the contact linked at the top of the inbox item, and the item will appear on that contact's profile.

To enable automatic creation of new contacts from email addresses that aren't yet in your account, toggle on Auto-create new contacts in your Inbox settings. This is off by default.


Reviewing and editing AI summaries

Step Four: Open an inbox item to view the AI-generated summary.

Click any inbox item to expand the full view. You'll see the original email content alongside an AI-generated summary that captures the key points, asks, and next steps from the conversation.

The summary is editable. Click into the summary text to refine wording, add context the AI missed, or remove anything that isn't relevant. Your edits are saved automatically.

Saving summaries as notes

Step Five: Click Save as note to attach the summary to your CRM records.

When you're ready to commit a summary to your records, click Save as note. A panel will appear showing the records you can link the note to:

  • The main contact mapped to the inbox item, which is selected by default

  • Additional contacts pulled from the cc or bcc fields, unselected by default

Check the records you want the note attached to, then submit. A single note is created and linked to every record you selected, so you don't have to duplicate work across contacts.

Please note that email attachments are stored on the inbox item itself and can be previewed or downloaded when you open the item.
